Land Gifts Are Sought
A conservation restriction (CR), which is a landowner's voluntary agreement to restrict the development of his or her land in specific ways, provides permanent protection for land while maintaining private ownership. The landowner has the complete enjoyment of the land and retains ownership and title, including the right to sell the land or leave it in a will, subject only to the CR provisions.

The most important benefit of a gift of land or a conservation restriction is the assurance that the land will be conserved forever in its natural state. However, significant tax benefits to the donor are also possible. Please call the Sheriff's Meadow Foundation office at (508) 693-5207 if you would like information or assistance with land gift planning.
